Which thermal printers are supported?
Kiosk Pro Enterprise includes support for certain Star Micronics & Custom America thermal receipt printers. These printers use traditional thermal paper rolls and can print text, images, QR and certain types of UPC barcodes.
Kiosk Pro Enterprise supports Star Micronics thermal printers that support line-mode printing & raster printing. Kiosk Pro has been tested with the TSP650BTi (which connects via Bluetooth), the TSP700ii & TSP800ii (both of which connect via standard Ethernet cabling to a wireless router), and the TSP143U. Most Star printers require a dedicated router to connect to the iPad or connect via Bluetooth. Our current recommendation is the TSP143U (model number 39472310), which physically connects to and powers the iPad using the Lightning-USB cable included with the iPad, significantly simplifying deployment and troubleshooting. iPad kiosk enclosures that secure and protect your Star printer are available here.
If you've purchased our Remote Management Server, you can also receive alerts if the Star printer becomes jammed or low on paper.
Kiosk Pro Enterprise supports the following Custom America thermal kiosk printers:

Your iOS device must be connected to the Custom America printer either through a local WiFi connection or via Bluetooth (recommended), which must be configured prior to app launch in iOS Settings.
